Camellia.

The flower portraits came about by accident. The first one was a pinky red camellia that I casually picked from my front garden and took inside to my home studio to play with. It was when I saw it on my computer screen up close that I truly saw the beauty. The fragility of the petals captivated me. The curls and contour of the edge had me mesmerised. I, myself was on the precipice of a new found love. One that was both familiar and new. This image took on a deeper meaning for me. Named “Desire’s Bloom” . Dedicated for all the lovers out there.
